Privacy Policy

Balanced View ("we", "us") provides automatic proof-of-delivery (POD) checks, driver alerts, daily driver reports and a customer portal to delivery service partners ("customers"). This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have. It covers balancedview.tech, the customer portal at pod.balancedview.tech, and our driver alerts.
Information we handle
- Delivery records from our customers' delivery routes: tracking numbers, delivery addresses, stop numbers, delivery times, drop-off notes, POD photos, route names, and the names of the drivers on each route. We do not store package recipients' names or phone numbers.
- Driver contact details provided by our customers: driver names and phone numbers, used in customer reports.
- Driver alert information: for drivers who join our Telegram alert bot, their Telegram account link, the alerts sent to them, and their answers (Retook, Disagree and any reason they type).
- Customer portal accounts: the email address you sign in with and, if you choose "Sign in with Google", the name and email address Google shares with us. Sign-in is handled by Cloudflare Access; we do not receive or store your Google password.
- Basic technical information: such as the time of a request and security logs kept by our hosting and network provider.
How we use it
- To check POD photos for a readable label, a visible address and a safe drop-off spot.
- To send drivers alerts about their own deliveries and record their answers.
- To give each customer their daily driver report and portal access to their own deliveries.
- To improve the accuracy of our checks and to keep the service secure.
The photo checks run on computers operated by Balanced View. We do not send POD photos to outside AI services.
Who can see it
Each customer can see only their own company's deliveries, drivers and reports. Drivers see alerts about their own deliveries. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run the service, under their own privacy terms:
- Cloudflare, for our network connection, website hosting and portal sign-in;
- Google, only if you choose "Sign in with Google";
- Telegram, to deliver driver alerts.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Most of each day's working data, including photos of deliveries that passed, is deleted at the end of that day. We keep records of failed and Needs Review deliveries, daily report figures and driver answers so customers can look them up later and so we can improve our checks. When a customer stops using Balanced View, or asks us to, we delete their data unless we must keep it by law.
Security
The customer portal is reachable only through encrypted connections and only after sign-in, and each account is limited to its own company's data. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to protect the information we handle.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing podcheck@balancedview.tech. Drivers can stop receiving alerts at any time by blocking the alert bot in Telegram.
Children
Balanced View is a business service and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
